Yogyakarta Diskominfo Wants to Learn from Jakarta Smart City

Yogyakarta Communication and Informatics Department (Diskominfo) visited Jakarta Smart City Management Unit at City Hall, Jalan Merdeka Selatan, Gambir, Central Jakarta. In this chance, they want to learn more about Jakarta Smart City because Yogyakarta plans to be a smart province in the near future.

We expect to learn many things from Jakarta Smart City

Yogyakarta Diskominfo's Informatics Application Department Head, Bayu Februariano Putro stated, his team wants to learn from Jakarta Government's experiences since Jakarta had already run the Smart City concept with various innovations and breakthroughs.

"We expect to learn many things from Jakarta Smart City. Especially about its integration concept, equating the vision to make Regional Organization (OPD) and others are committed for data storing and sharing, and of course, about leadership," he mentioned, Thursday (3/21).

Jakarta Gets into Top 50 Smart City Development

His side also uses this moment to create a strong relationship with Smart City and support electronic-based government system (SPBE) that requires each regions to be advance in information technology and communication.

"We want to compile the regulation strategy as soon as possible. Thus Smart City concept could be implemented well in Yogyakarta," he asserted.

In the other hand, Jakarta Communication Information and Statistics (Kominfotik) Department Head, Atika Nur Rahmania stated, Jakarta Govenment has implemented integrated technology information and communication in all public sectors.

"It is our pleasure to share our experiences and knowledge. We hope Yogyakarta can be more advanced in utilizing information technology and communication," she conveyed.
